Jesse's Christmas vacation is almost over.We went to the gym a couple of times at 3a.m. on my nights off.Today is leg day,at 8a.m.!Then I sleep,and go to work in the ER tonight.Tomorrow,pull-ups and tons of lat pull-downs,again at 8a.m.

New coffee

What a great week for coffee!!!

I received a bag of coffee from Honduras from a freind's mom.I received some local coffee from another freind whose brother works for a coffee company.Another co-worker/freind came back from vacation with a bag of coffee from Costa Rica!How can a person be so blessed as to have freinds like this?Yep,Christmas came early.I hope Santa brings me more coffee for next year.

Beef Jerky

Whenever I take some of my homemade beef jerky to work,people just love it.I have people offer me money to make them some.Nope,I just share a little with my friends.Of course the secret is using the right cut of meat,and don't use many spices.The Bar-B-Q in Texas tastes like burnt transmission fluid.I had some Hickory-Smoked Bar-B-Q shipped down here once,and my freinds loved it.We even had tamales made out of it.

Jesse continues to make progress at the gym.We are able to go 2-3 times a week.He has really increased in strength.

Jesse's birthday

Jesse turned 16 today.We had fun this weekend,and went to the gym Saturday and Sunday.He is gaining strength,using more weight on his workouts,and doing more sets per exercise.Jesse received 5 CD's.2 heavy metal,3 Vietnamese folk music.Lots of books from Half-Price books(his favorite store).Rented 3 movies and a playstation2 game.Plus some weight training equipyment and clothing items.

Jesse does not know it yet,but I have ordered this for his birthday coming up next month.He is progressing well with his weightlifting.

Still Rockin'

I can't wait to hear this new album to be released in September.I have all of thier music.Jesse and I went to see "Taladega Nights",we laughed our asses off.I found a 'METALIKA" video for $1.00 at half-price books the other day from 1992,they were better then.Yeah,50yrs. old and still love heavy metal,rock,blues,etc.I used to have an album called "Guitars That Destroyed The World".

Welcome back

So what is everyone up to?We are keeping busy.I spent $2,355.00 last wekk on Jesse's Bronco II,and still need to get a brake job done on it.It's ok though,we love to drive it.We are working on getting Jesse his learner's permit.The laws here in Texas are really tough now for kids.
